SecondLook — Terms of Service
Effective September 26, 2026 · Privacy Policy

1. What SecondLook is

SecondLook ("the Service") is software for sports coaches. You film a training session, the Service detects your spoken cue words, cuts video clips, transcribes your spoken coaching notes, compiles a recap video, and drafts a recap email that you review and choose to send to an athlete's parent or guardian. The Service is operated by Second Look Labs LLC ("we," "us"), a Florida limited liability company.

2. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use after a change means you accept it.

3. Your account

You sign in with your email address. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You must be at least 18 years old and using the Service in a professional coaching capacity.

4. Filming athletes — your responsibilities

This is the most important section. When you upload footage of an athlete, especially a minor, you represent and warrant that you have obtained the consent of the athlete's parent or legal guardian to (a) record the athlete, (b) have the footage processed by the Service (including automated transcription and AI-assisted drafting), and (c) share the resulting recap with the recipients you choose. The Service asks you to confirm this consent before each send; that confirmation must be truthful. You are solely responsible for complying with the laws, league rules, and facility policies that apply to your recordings.

5. Your content

You (or your athletes' families) own the footage you upload and the recaps produced from it. You grant us a limited license to store, process, transcribe, and transform your footage solely to provide the Service. Raw uploaded footage is deleted automatically after processing; finished recaps and clips are retained for a limited period (currently 90 days) and then deleted. We do not sell your content or use it to advertise.

6. Draft-then-approve

The Service drafts text (clip notes, summaries, emails) using automated transcription and AI. Drafts can contain errors. Nothing is sent to a parent until you review and approve it, and what you send is your communication, sent under your name. Review before sending is your responsibility.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to record anyone without appropriate consent, to upload content that is unlawful or abusive, to attempt to access other users' data, to probe or disrupt the Service, or to resell the Service without our written agreement. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Fees

The Service is currently offered free of charge during early access. We may introduce paid plans; if we do, pricing will be shown clearly before you are charged, and continued use of paid features will require a subscription.

9. Our intellectual property

The Service — its software, design, name, and branding — is our property. These Terms do not grant you any rights to it beyond using the Service as intended.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that cue detection, transcription, or drafting will be accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

12. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your recordings, your failure to obtain required consents, the content you send to parents, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your data. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access to it, with notice where practical. Sections 5, 9–12, and 15 survive termination.

14. SMS Terms

SecondLook is operated by Second Look Labs LLC. By checking the text-message box on the sign-up or Account page, or by requesting a sign-in code by text, you agree to receive transactional text messages from SecondLook at the mobile number you provide: one-time sign-in codes you request, and notices that a recap is ready to review or that a parent has watched it. A parent or guardian whose mobile number a coach adds to the roster first receives a single confirmation text asking them to reply YES; only after they reply YES does SecondLook text them a link to their child's recap after a lesson, sent by that coach through SecondLook. No recap link is texted without that reply. Message frequency varies (typically one message per lesson). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out; reply HELP for help or email team@secondlook.coach. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using the Service.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
